"My Dad Was a Ghost"

Just "click" on it

Μy Dad was a ghost
As soon as he opened the door,
terror was spread in the air.

My Dad was a ghost
Left in his loneliness,
Sleepless guard of Honor and Reputation
His glance always in readiness
just in case bad behaviors happened
then punishment would follow.

My Dad was a ghost
Through the tv he received the messages
throughout the movies
his painful past was forgotten for a while.

My Dad was a ghost
always unspoken and angry
trying to get rid of his suffering…
but it was an unbearable load.

My Dad was a ghost
He didn't know
He couldn't see
He never cared
As he didn't live it up
Always struggling
to get rid of ugly images of his youth.

My Dad was a ghost
Always running
away from his home
a drifter and a dropout,
as soon as he got back
punishment would follow.

My Dad was a ghost
Punished and Punisher
Black images flew all over the house
as soon as he arrived.
Fear and terror
was his aura
Teacher of all bad examples
Forgot and forgotten
sinking into the cloud of nothingness.

My Dad was a ghost
Sinner in everyway
the unforgiven one
Unspoken and angry, in the edge of madness.

My Dad was a ghost
That's why I don't see him anymore
As I think now…I have never had.
Sometimes, I just look in the mirror
But I’ m still afraid,
as I may look like him.
